Looking for a beautiful, durable, and secure front or back door? At Winkleigh Timber, every door is individually handcrafted to your exact sizes and requirements. We do not sell “off-the-shelf” mass-produced doors—each one is uniquely made for your home.
Why Choose Our Oak Doors?
- Solid & Secure: All external doors are approx. 44mm thick, ensuring a heavy, robust, and strong build.
- Custom Glazing: We offer custom single or multiple panes (including diamond, arched, or square configurations) using double glazing, opaque, or toughened glass. All glass is securely fitted within a wooden frame with angled wooden beading.
- Premium Ironmongery: Choose from our range of letterboxes, handles, knockers, escutcheon plates, false hinges, door studs, and bolts. These can be professionally fitted or supplied loose.
- Enhanced Security & Extras: We fit 5-lever lock systems for maximum security, standard oak drip bars, or rebated drop-down door seals. We can even install a cat flap if needed.
- Stable Door Systems: Our stable doors feature a convenient thumb-turn mechanism, locking the top and bottom halves together in one easy turn.
Finish & Ongoing Care
Our doors are finished with two coats of Devon Wood Oil to protect the timber.
- Please note: The main product image shows the door in its natural, unfinished oak stage. Applying Devon Wood Oil will darken the final look of the wood.
- All external wooden doors require regular, periodic maintenance and recoating to stay protected against the elements.
Pricing & Ordering Information
- What’s Included: The quoted price includes the door only, pre-fitted with a 5-lever lock and finished with two coats of oil.
- What’s Extra: Glazing and ironmongery are charged separately.
- Frames: Matching exterior oak door frames can be custom-made to order, starting from £300.00.00 + VAT.
