Here at Winkleigh Timber, we pride ourselves on our passionate team of timber experts and the high-quality timbers we offer. Among our range of materials for the property, we have a wide array of beautiful reclaimed oak beams which are ideal for internal or external construction, decorative use or landscaping.
Sustainability is at the heart of our company ethos, which is why we try to use reclaimed wood as much as possible in all of our wooden furniture and building materials.
This means salvaging wood that is still in perfectly good condition that would otherwise be burnt or wasted. Our green oak beams come from a renewable source and are used in their raw state, without industrial processing.
In our wide collection of solid oak beams, we even have genuine 17th and 19th-century beams that have been salvaged from old farm buildings and are absolutely bursting with character!
English oak beams will weather naturally when used externally and are also likely to shrink and swell over time when used internally or externally, which adds immensely to the natural character and charm of the beams.
All of our oak beams are sold whole, but we can cut them down to size upon request if required. The beams are ready to use treated or untreated so you really can find the perfect match for your home.
We are able to offer nationwide delivery on most orders, depending upon the location and length of the beams. All of our orders are custom so we will confirm a quotation on receipt of order.
If you would like to discuss options with a member of our team, please get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.
