Description
Our air dried oak beams have been air drying uncovered for 5-7 years, allowing the oak to develop rustic cracks and splits complemented by a natural, aged appearance.
Air dried oak is becoming a preference over green oak when it comes to internal beams and lintels, as it less likely to move once it’s in situ.
We can supply the beams in a variety of different finishes:
As they are with naturally grey, weathered faces;
Lightly sanded, retaining some weathering and revealing some new timber;
Planed (depending on size) for the customer to sand and finish themselves;
Planed (depending on size) and sanded for a more contemporary look
We can also chamfer the edges, and wax or oil the beams if required.
Beams 5m+ are charged at a premium.
Graded oak is available to order and quoted on request.
